Want to become more proficient at operating your boat safely?  There’s no better way to become more confident as you venture out there, whether close to home or cruising Lake Ontario and beyond.  Come join us for a day of learning and practicing the skills you’ll need.

Space is limited to 24 people.

Topics to be covered include at this point:

1. Required safety equipment
2. Proper fire extinguisher use
3. Emergency radio procedures
4. Man overboard techniques
5. Anchoring techniques

The event will be on Saturday July 8 and will run (approximately) 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  There will be a morning session “in class”, a break for lunch then practical, hands on sessions in the afternoon.

Note that we will not be providing first aid training as that is an entirely separate topic that could take up a day itself.
