Learn to Sail

For generations, Torontonians have found Queen City Yacht Club to be a great place to learn to sail. Our Youth and Adult programs are taught to Canadian Yachting Association standards and our professionally trained coaches have years of experience teaching sailing.

Queen City Yacht Club is located in the protected parklands of the Toronto Islands. It's a great place to get away from the busy city and relax in the summer. The perfect view of the city skyline is an added bonus while learning to sail!

Our students sail dinghies such as Picos (simple, doublehanded learning boats) and 420s (larger, faster doublehanded boats). Queen City’s well-respected Learn to Sail program has produced graduates who have become proud members of the Canadian National Sailing Team.
