2015 Pan American Games

In July 2015 the Pan Am games will be held in Toronto with the Sailing Competition held right in Toronto Harbour and surrounds. If you would like to volunteer for the games view the presentation made to the Council of Commodores on June 2.

Old Movie Night

The 125th Anniversary Committee will be holding an old movie night showing video clips of QCYC from the 1930s to 1970s in the Great Hall at 7pm on Saturday June 14th. Don Hinchley will also have a special pen to raffle off but he is not telling me anything about it except that it is very special. You will also be able to purchase a copy of the movies on DVD for $20. All proceeds with go towards the 125th celebrations.

Heritage Plaque Unveiling

Heritage Toronto will be unveiling a historical plaque to QCYC to celebrate our 125th anniversary. The dedication will be on the Ward's Island dock at 3:00pm on Saturday, June 7th. We hope to see lots of members there. I will conduct a historical walk and talk from the dock around the moorings in the lagoon, through the marine yard and ending with a tour of the club house which you might find interesting. If you have not all ready donated to the plaque please see Laura or Allison at the Office.
